Final Fantasy IX HD Find

Now this isn’t a post to say that SE have announced a HD version of Final Fantasy IX. But is a post to highlight the detail and what happened during the Playstation 1 era of downsizing graphics and other things to make games fit on a CD (or 4).

Source is at the end of the article and none of this was found by me but a poster on the Neogaf forum. Below is an excerpt from the post:

N.B. I am in the process of saving and reuploading the images to stop servers get hammered. Album here

League, eSports and Going Into Sports

Now over the last few months I’ve been playing a lot of League of Legends. Roughly 4-5 months now and I can probably say I enjoy the game and have a basic knowledge of the game and by basic I mean pretty much a beginner even after 4 months of playing nearly every night.

30 Days of Mo’

So it’s that time of year again, where all the gents of the world partake in the act of Movember.

Now if you’ve lived under a rock for the last few years let me quickly explain what “Movember” is. It is the 30 days of November where a male (or female!) does not shave their upper lip region and styles themselves a moustache. The reason why I’m posting about it after a long absence from this blog? I am for once, participating in Movember. People that know me have heard me say if left long enough my ‘tache may turn me into Fu Man Chu. However in reality I doubt this will happen and instead be a piddly little beatnik thing. Instead of my usual waffle, I shall now copy and paste the words of the Movember website:

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Movember – a global movement
Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.9 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate with formal campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Czech Republic. In addition, Movember is aware of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas supporting the campaign and men’s health causes across the globe, from Russia to Dubai, Hong Kong to Antarctica, Rio de Janeiro to Mumbai, and everywhere in between.

No matter the country or city, Movember will continue to work to change established habits and attitudes men have about their health, to educate men about the health risks they face, and to act on that knowledge, thereby increasing the chances of early detection, diagnosis and effective treatment.

So please, donate if you can (link is at the bottom), spread the word and for some final words: I shall be posting my “30 days of ‘Mo” on my instagram account with day zero just put up (I just had a shave) so if you feel like following and seeing how badly this will turn out feel free to follow. Link is also at the bottom with the donation link.
